Cheltenham League Div Two
The Beeches 11 (eleven)
Andoversford Res 1
THE Beeches have quickly found their feet in Division Two of the Cheltenham League and hit 11 past Andoversford Reserves to go top of the table.
Andoversford did not really offer any threat in the first half as they conceded five goals without reply.
The goals included a hat-trick from left back Mitchell Stone who was superb going forward as well as when required to defend.
At half-time three Beeches subs came on: Adam Brooks, Joe Stratford and Matt Walters.
Using rolling subs in the second half, Beeches were able to give every member of the squad plenty of playing time.
Another six Beeches goals were scored after the break and it could have been more had it not been for Andoversford keeper Collinson pulling off a string of stunning saves.
The Beeches then conceded their first goal of this league campaign, when a long ball from the Andoversford defence bounced over the previously untroubled centre backs and although the initial shot was saved by Ryan Heaven in the home goal, Andoversford striker Ellison was able to put away the rebound.
All in all a good all-round Beeches team performance with the goals spread between six players.
Beeches goal: Mitch Stone (4); Scott Smith (2) Joe Mansell (2); Alex King (1); Matthew Walters (1) and Will Power (1) Greg Power Will writers MoM: Mitch Stone.
