PURTON upbeat despite loss LAST Saturday Purton travelled to Bishops Cleeve to play their sixth pre season friendly.

In a game against a higher league standard team the club went down 6-4 in an action packed clash and despite the defeat the management team were not disappointed as they had nine players unavailable for the game.

Purton’s goalscorers were (Avery, Ward,Kier and Wallwork).

This coming Saturday the club play their opening league fixture away at 3pm against Melksham Town Reserves and host Wroughton at the Red House in their first home game on Tuesday, August 15. Kick off is at 6.30pm.
