Running Somewhere Else Shakespeare Summer Half Marathon
CONGRATULATIONS to Emily Jefferies who competed in the Shakespeare Summer Half on Sunday.
Emily finished in 1:44.48 to finish first in her age group and she was seventh female to cross the line.
Borrowdale Fell Race
SPECIAL mention needs to be made of Stephen Priestnall, Stephen, after much training, took part in the incredibly tough Borrowdale Fell Race, which takes runners up England’s highest peak: Scafell Pike. Stephen sustained a serious hamstring injury at the 15K mark, but gamely carried on, running a further 6k in serious pain.
He made it up Scafell and down the scary ‘Scree descent’ over loose rocks.
At 21k he had to call it a day, but he deserves a massive congratulations for his grit and determination
