Tetbury Dolphins Running Club
THE Tetbury Dolphins Running Club braved the elements last weekend to complete a rather wet and muddy Cotswold 24-hour race held in the beautiful Bathurst Estate, Cirencester.
Hundreds of competitors took part in the event which continued through the night on a 9km off-road course, through parkland and forest trails.
Steven James clocked up an impressive 144 km in the time and finished 13th overall in the solo category.
Team captain Darren Shepherd successfully led the Tetbury Dolphins' mixed relay team to complete an incredible 24 laps between them. Team members: Eileen Hodgson, Peter Hodgson, Gary O’Connor, Darren Mustoe, Fiona Dougan, Bex Kandiyali and Helen Donnelly covered a total of 243 km in 24 hours!
The running club was awarded The Club Champions trophy for it's hard work and support throughout the event. More than 30 members of the running club volunteered to marshal the event throughout the weekend to help it run smoothly and provide much needed refreshments.
