Seniors Captain's Day
CIRENCESTER seniors captain Mike Helyer held his rescheduled Senior Captains' Day on Wednesday, July 19. The very well supported event was a huge success and the many prize winners were as follows:
Senior Captain's Vase – Emrys Williams & Jeff Salter with 48 points.
Over 75s Cup: Maurice Taylor & John Smart with 43 points.

Nearest The Pin 2nd Hole – Geoff Ludbrook.
Straightest Drive 8th Hole – Mick Moore.
Nearest The Pin 9th Hole– Bob Allen.
Longest Drive 12th Hole – Dave Marshall.
Nearest The Pin 13th Hole – Paul Stephens (hole in one).
Nearest The Pin in Two 16th Hole – Patrick Moylan.
Nearest The Pin 18th Hole – Colin Gilbert.

Cirencester Seniors 3½
CIRENCESTER seniors secured a 3½-2½ victory in calm and sunny conditions at The Wychwood course in this season's annual away fixture.
Well done to Andy Ponting & Paul Sheen (3&2), David Soar & John Hall (2&1) and John Morris & David Lowbridge (6&5) for gaining wins in their matches, as well as Mike Helyer & Ian Allen for their halved game.
This result means that Cirencester completed the double over The Wychwood this season.

Bowood 3½
CIRENCESTER hosted a team from Bowood Golf Club and after a number of hard-fought matches went down to 3½-2½ defeat.
Gerry Bruton & Ian Perry (2&1) and Alan Smith & David Golding (3&2) gained victories and Patrick Moylan & Tony Greatorex earned a half.
