The successful Cirencester team with the North and North East Gloucestershire Silver Plate
CIRENCESTER Golf Club have won the North and North East Gloucestershire Silver Plate for only the second time in 20 years.
Captained by David Soar, Cirencester saw off challenges from six other teams – Broadway, Cotswold Hills, Lilley Brook, Painswick, Ross-on-Wye and Stinchcombe Hill.
After a tough competition Cirencester topped the table from host club Broadway by just a point, to add to their previous victory in 2010.
The successful Cirencester line-up: David Soar, Kevin Young, Adam Collins, Paul Gardiner, Jim Donovan, Howard Jones, Alan Dymond and Mark Shipley.
