GREENE King IPA, the official beer of England cricket, has taken over as main sponsor of the Gloucestershire County Cricket League.

An initial agreement has been made with Greene King to replace Bank House as the league's principal backer for the remainder of the 2017 season.

Robert Ward, the owner of Bank House, has decided to retire and sell the Bank House group of companies.

The GCCL wants to thank Robert for his support for the past three seasons.

The branded stumps have added greatly to the league’s professionalism and the financial support has funded the officials’ courses that have increased the quality of umpiring and scoring.

Suffolk-based brewer Greene King's five-year partnership with the ECB began in 2016.
