Bathurst Cup
STUART PARK produced one of the best net rounds of the season at Cirencester Golf Club when a runaway winner of the 2017 Bathurst Cup.
Stuart, a 15-handicapper, knocked it around in 75 for a wonderful net 60 which left him four shots clear of the field.
The best gross score on the day came from Toby Harris whose one under par 69 left him with a net score of 64 and third place on countback.
RESULTS: 1 Stuart Park (75 - 15 = 60); 2 Andy Bell (77 - 13 = 64); 3 Toby Harris (69 - 05= 64); 4 Dave Workman (73 - 09 = 64); 5 Steve Bishop (72 - 05 = 67); 6 Dan Skinley (73 - 06 = 67); 7 Scott Hicks (79 - 12 = 67); 8 Lewis Flett (77 - 09 = 68); 9 Nicholas Brown (73 - 05 = 68); 10 Richard Hopegood (84 - 16 = 68).
Birdie twos were scored at the following holes: 2nd Andrew Parffrey, Mark Woodhead; 11th Jeffrey Salter, Dave Workman; 13th Richard Hicks; 18th John Hall, Alan Hughes.
There was also an eagle two on the par 4 16th from Howard Todd.
June Midweek Medal
JORDAN LAYCOCK was the overall winner of the Midweek Medal at the end of June with his net 66.
The top of the leaderboard read: 1 Jordan Laycock (71 - 05 = 66); 2 Johnathan Cowley (74 - 08 = 66); 3 Nicholas Brown (71 - 05 = 66); 4 Toby Harris (71 - 05 = 66); 5 Lawrence Telling (87 - 20 = 67); 6 Ali Carter (73 - 06 = 67).
Scratch player Gerry Coetzee, who went on to win the Club Championship, scored the best gross of the day with his level par 70 and he posted one of the birdie twos – on the 2nd hole.
Others came from: 2nd Ali Carter, Toby Harris; 9th Mathew Vines; 13th Nicholas Brown, Johnathan Cowley.
