Bourton Vale U13s girls' team who won the latest CDCA 6-a-side tournament
THE fourth CDCA girls' 6-a-side tournament was hosted in the region – this time at Bourton Vale on Sunday.
The tournaments, which are designed to encourage cricket among girls aged 13 and under, have been a huge success, featuring mixed ability teams, with each event typically hosting 30-50 girls.
This time the victors – who played gamely despite the rain – were Bourton Vale’s own 'Lightning' team with Poulton and Fairford in joint second place.
The final festival will be at Great Rissington on August 13 so there’s still plenty of time to enter a team.
