CALMSDEN Horse Trials' summer event returns on July 29 and 30.

Based at Ampney Down Farm, near Cirencester, the competition has attracted a host of entries.

One of this year's competitors is local international event rider Becky Woolven.

Becky has competed successfully at 4* level and won the Land Rover Perpetual Challenge Trophy as the best first-timer in her 4* debut at Burghley Horse Trials CCI**** on her lovely ride Charlton Down Riverdance when she was 17th overall.

Becky also competes her young horses at Calmsden Horse Trials.

Becky is a former student of Cirencester's Royal Agricultural University (RAU), where she gained a degree in International Equine and Agricultural Business Management in 2010. Since then, she has built up a highly successful equestrian business just outside of Tetbury.

The RAU will be sponsoring the BE80 Class at Calmsden and they will be attending the event to offer any advice and guidance to those looking at possible degree opportunities.
