Bourton Roadrunners
Kingham 10k
A BUSY weekend of races for Bourton Roadrunners saw Tim Carter make second place (37.14) in the undulating Kingham 10k.
He followed this with an impressive third place (38.13) in the challenging Sherborne 10k the following day.
In the same race at Sherborne, Niamh Shoemark was the first lady over the finish line with a time of 45.37.
The hilly and demanding course took runners through the beautiful National Trust woodlands and surrounding roads of Sherborne. This race made up the third event in the club competition bringing out a good number of club runners and supporters.
Darren Long produced a strong 43.00 finish, as did Chris Lomax with 48.47, shortly followed by Andy Peaston 49.33.
Graham Lane (51.18) and Gill Garrick (1:01.41) both came first in their age categories, while Kerry Taylor (53.03) and Jennifer Glass (53.19) were eighth and ninth lady respectively.
Amy Hallam in 1:02.51 and Liz Hulcup 1:05.47 rounded off the club entrants.
