JORDAN STEWART could never settle at Swindon Town but on Wednesday he hit a winner in the Champions League for his new Irish club Linfield.
Stewart, who had homesick issues while at Town, came off the bench with 15 minutes to go before striking the only goal of the game in the 89th minute against San Marino's La Fiorita in the Champions League (Qualifying First Round - 1st Leg).
Linfield could face a second round clash with Celtic if they progress in Tuesday’s second leg.
Three former Swindon players have all found new clubs today.
Michael Doughty has gone from QPR to Peterborough Utd, Ben Gladwin has also left the Hoops but for Blackburn Rovers, while James Collins is a £250,000 signing for Luton Town from Crawley Town.
