CIRENCESTER'S B team ran out convincing winners over Cleeve Cloud by 4½-1½.

The winning pairings for the hosts were Jonathan Wells & David Murray (5&4); Nigel Curtis & Gary Whiteman (2up); Pete Shepherd & Howard Jones (1up) and Duncan Barnes & Paul Daniel (3&1).

Captain Kevin Young & Martin Peet battled back from three down to win the 15th, 17th and 18th to halve their match.

David Murray for Cirencester won the longest drive on the 15th, and Dennis Campbell for the visitors won the nearest the pin on the 11th.

The match, the condition of the course, especially the greens, as well as the catering, were all thoroughly enjoyed by both teams.
