Bourton Roadrunners Juniors
Fairford Fun Run & 10k
JAKE ASTOR and Emily Field featured for Bourton Roadrunners Juniors at the Fairford Fun Run (just less than 3k), finishing in second and third (first lady) respectively.
Fifteen runners represented the juniors as for the first time it was included in the Bourton Roadrunner Race Championship competition.
Jake's time was 11min 08sec, just two seconds behind the winner and first U13+.
Both he and Emily have a great future in this sport.
Jake’s two brothers were the next two runners home, Charlie finishing eighth and eight-year-old Michael 11th.
Callum Woolley only joined the club recently and always works hard at his training. He produced an excellent 12th place.
Cirencester Park 3k Junior Summer Sizzler
SEVERAL Bourton Roadrunners took part in the Cirencester Park 3k Junior Summer Sizzler race George Quli doing extremely well for sixth overall in 13.05.
His younger brother Arthur was not far behind in an excellent 18th place (14.11). Callum Woolley (14.13) who was still recovering from illness, did well for 19th.
