Unicorns County Championship Western Division
Wilts 442-6 & 196-9
Dorset 232 and 188
WILTSHIRE, having had their first match ruined by rain, won their second match in the Unicorns County Championship Western Division when they beat Dorset at Corsham by 218 runs.
Winning the toss Wiltshire made 442-6 in their 90 overs. The innings was dominated by Steve Bullen who, on his home ground, scored a magnificent 201.
The partnership with Jake Lintott (103) was a Wiltshire record for a fourth wicket in the Championship.
Despite having a lead of 210, Wiltshire did not enforce the follow on in the high temperatures but went for quick runs and declared at 196-9. Bullen again top-scored with 75. Jiger Naik took 7-46 for Dorset. Dorset fought hard in their second innings with Luke Webb scoring 69 but were all out for 188. Jake Lintott took 6-60.
Wiltshire's next Unicorns County Championship match is away to last year's champions Berkshire at Falkland Cricket Club, Newbury on Sun/Mon/Tues July 2/3/4 starting at 11am each day.
