UP-AND-COMING Cirencester-based racing driver Matt Ryder has secured some major sponsorship.

The West-Midlands based company Leasehub has agreed to become the title sponsor of Ryder Motorsport for the remainder of the hill climb racing season.

Ryder is a former dual national karting champion who progressed to racing single seater cars in the Formula Jedi Championship.

He is now competing in the British Leaders Hillclimb Championship and the Midland Hillclimb Championship using a 1600cc Force PT single-seater racing car.

The car has been covered in new Leasehub livery and will be on show at the Prescott Speed Hill Climb, near Cheltenham, on June 25.

The company have been using the car’s on-board videos for their blog and social media network, @LeasehubJournal.

“The videos are fantastic," said Ryder. "Watching them makes you feel like you’re actually in the car racing up the hills.

“I am flattered and grateful to have been approached by a company like Leasehub. It is very satisfying to see so many people enjoying a taste of what we do by working with them.”

The online car leasing company, based in Worcestershire, are now indulging their passion for motorsport and promoting the launch of their new website, lease-hub.co.uk.

The successful start-up specialises in contract hire finance and operates UK-wide, but has strong ties in the West Midlands.

Company director Eliot Langfield said: “The team are superbly talented and Matthew especially caught our eye with great race pace at the young age of 21."
