THERE was a large contingent of Bourton Roadrunner Juniors at the Northleach Fun Run in May with Jake Astor the first Bourton junior runner home when he took second place overall in an excellent time of 13min 04sec.

George Quli and Michael Astor, just 11 and 8 respectively, finished in joint third in 13.36.

George improved on his previous year’s time by nearly 30 seconds.

Emily Field was first lady and sixth overall in 13:42. Lauren Farley was second lady in 14.04 for 10th overall, beating her time from last year by nearly a minute.

Christopher Hunt continues to impress; despite coming back from injury he was an excellent eighth in 13.45, improving from 16.20 last year when he did lose a shoe.
