Gloucester Pumas 43
Fairford Fury 40
A REJUVINATED Fairford Fury fell agonisingly short against Gloucester Pumas last Sunday evening.
There was high anticipation for the fixture and the game was played at a high temp, keeping the crowd entertained.
The match was tight from the start with Fairford leading from the get-go and only relinquishing their advantage in the last 25 seconds when two unanswered baskets gave the Pumas victory.
The final score of 43-40 was a tough blow on the Fury and could easily have been reversed.
The Fury was formed in 2005 but went dormant in 2011 until Roger West, 77, reformed the team last year.
A return fixture against the Pumas has already been organised.
