North Cotswold Tri & Run
London Marathon
BRITTANY TEAGUE was the toast of North Cotswold Tri & Run (NCTR) after running her very first marathon in a fantastic time of 3:39.08 in London on Sunday.
The 25-year-old showed tremendous maturity to pace London's famous 26.2-mile race magnificently by running the second half more than three minutes quicker than the first half.
Brittany said: "I can see why people run this marathon, I really enjoyed myself out there today."
Mike Hobbs' mission was to try and set a new world record with his running companion Marc Farmer as the fastest Batman & Robin fancy dress pairing complete with Batmobile.
The pair just failed to beat the existing record by a few minutes but were still delighted to finish in 4hr 26min and raise nearly £4,000 for the Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group.
Steve Edwards meantime completed his 700th sub-3hr 30min marathon to claim another landmark world record. He crossed the finish line in 3:14.40 which also extended his British record for the most sub-3:15s to 320.
