FAIRFORD Town Football Club celebrated a memorable season at its annual awards evening on Saturday at Cinder Lane.

The Hellenic Division One West trophy was on show as compere for the night, former Swindon Town frontman Sam Parkin, kicked things off by welcoming the room of around 60 guests including players, management, officials, volunteers and supporters.

The award winners on the night were: Goal of the Season (presented by Sam Parkin): Jack Ellis v Abingdon United.

Young Player of the Year (presented by Bill Beach): Ben Saunders.

Supporters’ Player of the Year (presented by Mick Kent): Jason Milhench.

Players’ Player of the Year (presented by Stuart Pike): Josh Morse.

Player of the Year (presented by Gareth Davies): Josh Morse.

Young supporter Callum Hyde also received an award; committee member Jamie Hyde a bottle of Champagne, while Andy Meaden of A M Print & Copy received a signed, framed programme for 10 years’ outstanding service.

Midfielder Nathan Blackford rounded off the awards by handing a gift to each member of the management team on behalf of the squad, while also thanking club officials, volunteers and supporters.

The Reds have one last game of the 2016/17 season as they take on Cadbury Heath in the GFA Challenge Trophy Final at Almondsbury on Thursday night (7.30pm).
