WORLD CUP rugby referee Nigel Owens will be visiting Fairford Town FC for a sporting dinner in June.
In what is a major coup for the club, the in-demand Owens will be the guest speaker on the night.
Welshman Owens has refereed at a total of five European finals, more than any other official.
Tickets are selling fast so book early to avoid disappointment. It's sure to be a sell-out.
The evening will take place on Friday, June 23 at Cinder Lane (7pm), less than 24 hours before the British Lions' first test against New Zealand.
The evening will include a two-course dinner, raffle and auction. The dress code is lounge suits.
Tables of eight are available at £320 and can be booked via Chris Tanner on 07815 579784 or cmt115@hotmail.com.
Fairford Town FC, crowned champions of the Hellenic League Div One West this season, have one more game to play – next Thursday's final of the Gloucestershire Challenge Trophy at GFA headquarters in Almondsbury against Bristol side Cadbury Heath who play in the Western League Premier Division.
