Bowood 4½ Cirencester 1½
DESPITE fielding a strong team – including our +2 player Mark Shipley – and being led by seniors vice captain Keith Hodgson, Cirencester seniors were comprehensively beaten on their visit to Bowood.
The weather was kind although there was a cold wind blowing.
The course was in good condition but the greens were extremely fast and proved very difficult for the visitors who went down 4½ to 1½.
However there were some Cirencester highlights notably the win of Paul Simmonds & Mark Woodhead and the halved match for David Soar & Mark Shipley.
It's best not to dwell on the other results.
