Evo-Stik Southern Premier
Cirencester Town 3
Weymouth 0
CIRENCESTER TOWN’S bid for survival in the Southern Premier is going to the last game of the season after a magnificent 3-0 home win over Weymouth.
Having scored two goals on his maiden start for the first team at Slough on Friday, Danny Gudger again bagged two – and he also missed two or three other chances as well as a second half penalty.
But the youngster who has been promoted from the Development Squad after the end of their season was a constant source of irritation to the Terras defence.
Ellis Dunton scored the second goal of the game – another of his key goals from a set-piece.
But Ciren were magnificent all over the park, none more so than Mat Liddiard in the heart of the resolute defence, which protected Glyn Garner so well all afternoon.
Ciren travel to fellow relegation battlers Kings Langley in the last game of the season – a must-win game but the Centurions may still be in the hands of others.
