THE Cirencester Golf Club Ladies' A team have won the Bath Aqua Bowl to add to their success in Division One of the Cotswold & District Ladies' Golf Alliance.
Topping their league pitted them against the ladies of Bristol & Clifton GC, winners of the equivalent division in the Bristol and District Ladies' Golf Alliance.
The one-off match took place on Sunday in very windy conditions at Cirencester Golf Club.
The teams of seven played individual matchplay off scratch supported by many loyal members from both clubs.
Despite the challenging weather, some very good golf was played and most of the matches went to either the 17th & 18th holes.
Thankfully for Cirencester, they were triumphant in five of the seven matches to lift the trophy.
Cirencester team: Emma Brereton, Sheila Westmacott, Julie Clough, Deb Organ, Alison Henshaw, Angela Canty and Sally Hadley.
