Cirencester Town 2
St Neots Town 1
CIRENCESTER TOWN dominated their fellow relegation strugglers St Neots to earn a precious three points in the bottom of the table scrap.
Town tore forward throughout the game, with Aidan Bennett a revelation as a hard-working foil to Alan Griffin up top and both Dan Demkiv and Kerry Morgan regulalrly tormenting the St Neots defence.
But having failed to turn their superiority and chances into more goals there were tense moments in closing stages not least a brilliant last ditch tackle by captain Mat Liddiard on the visitors danger man Jevani Brown.
All the goals came in a full blooded opening 45.
Danger man Brown put St Neots ahead in the 24th minute but that was cancelled out by Alan Griffin's volley four minutes later.
What turned out to be the final goal was worthy of winning any game as a back-to-his-best Ellis Dunton put a bullet header past Archer in the 36th minute.
