Bibury 2

Charlton Rovers 5

AFTER a much-needed win in their previous match Bibury could not build on that victory when facing a tough challenge from third-placed Charlton Rovers.

Bibury took the lead after only four minutes with a well-taken goal from Ian McSherry.

The visitors had a chance to level from a free kick on the edge of the box but it came to nothing, however they made no mistake on 17 minutes when they were awarded a penalty which was duly converted.

Bibury stood firm and dealt with Charlton's quick attacking football before regaining the lead just before the break when Billy Deacon converted a Ed Ramsey cross.

It was still 2-1 at the hour mark when the visitors levelled the scores.

The remainder of the game belonged to Charlton Rovers as they added another three goals to run out comfortable winners.

Bibury travel to Harrow Hill on Saturday looking to bounce back with a win.
