GLOUCESTERSHIRE captain Michael Klinger has been voted as the Perth Scorchers fans’ Player of the Season for 2016/17.
Klinger won the vote after a tight battle with resurgent left-arm speedster Mitchell Johnson on the Scorchers' club Facebook page.
Klinger, 36, finished the Big Bash League (BBL) season fourth in the overall scoring charts with 334 runs at an average of 37.11.
He scored 71no in the BBL Final, scoring a six to clinch victory, and last week won his maiden Australia call-up to the T20 squad.
