Seniors' Texas Scramble
AN enormous field of 81 players entered the Seniors' Texas Scramble at Cirencester Golf Club on January 18 but one team soon put daylight between themselves and the rest.
The trio of Mark Woodhead, Graham Morgan and Robin Johnson posted an outstanding score of 63 (gross), 54.2 net thanks to seven birdies on the front nine holes alone and only dropped one shot in the whole round on the 10th.
Second place in this always popular event was the team of Mike Moore, Joe Hickey and Phil Needham with a net score of 58, while David Clark, Godfrey Cottrell and Dave Walters finished third with 58.4 net.
