OUT-OF-FAVOUR Swindon Town striker Nathan Delfouneso has signed a permanent deal with Blackpool until the end of the season.
Former Aston Vila starlet Delfouneso joined Town in the summer of 2016 on a one-year deal and went on to score three goals in 24 appearances for the club – just one of them in the league.
The stats show that he has once again failed to resurrect a career which had started so promisingly with appearances for England at U16, U17, U19 and U21 levels.
Delfouneso has been an unused sub in the last six Town matches and has fallen even further down director of football Tim Sherwood's pecking order since the arrival of striker Islam Feruz from Chelsea in the January window.
The 25-year-old has already had three previous spells at Blackpool and he told their club website: "It's nice to be back. The manager is a big reason why I'm here right now and hopefully I can have a successful time between now and the end of the season.
"I want to play as much football as possible and enjoy playing football again. I'm happy that I can get that opportunity here under a manager who I've got a lot of respect for and enjoyed working under previously."
