Old Town Utd U15s 6

Stratton Youth U15s 2

ROB CHAMBERS' side continue to battle for that elusive win, but show plenty of spirit and endeavour, Julias Efionayi-Stroud and Dan Hemmings were on target and Luke Campbell picked up the MoM.

Abbeymeads U14s 11

Stratton U14s 3

THE U14s this week faced a strong Abbeymeads side at Lydiard Park, Swindon.

Abbeymeads started brightly, catching Stratton napping with two early goals. Stratton, still struggling to get into the game, looked to be back in it after 15 minutes with a goal for Harvey Biggs from a Josh Littler-Jennings corner. However, Abbeymeads dominated the rest of the half controlling the midfield well and scoring three more times.

A fine strike from Stratton's Harvey McCullie on 30 minutes made the half time score 5-2.

Stratton tried a change of formation for the second half but without success. Abbeymeads continued to dominate, and a struggling Stratton conceded a further six goals.

A late strike from Charlie Love was some consolation.

Stratton's MoM: Harvey McCullie.

Mini Section

THE U7s were at home to FC Abbeymeads where Leo Scott was on target and Xavier Elerby-Harris was MoM.

The U8s played their part in an entertaining, end-to-end game at Royal Wootton Bassett that saw some excellent passing from both teams. However, although strong in attack, the U8s were continually guilty of trying to go for the more difficult pass rather than the simple option which meant they were exposed at the back.

The game did see probably the finest individual goal of the season as Finn Stratford took on several players and curled a shot into the top corner, as well as the best team goal Stratton have ever produced – a flowing move from the back involving every player which was finished well by Louis Kingsbury.

It is pleasing to see the team evolve and improve their skills on a weekly basis.

Both the scorers finished with three goals apiece, and Louis just nicked the MoM.

THE U9s were at home to Ashton Keynes where Tom Foley and Jack Miller were on target and Freddie Whitehead earned the MoM.

Matt Boucher's U11s were at home to Croft in a cup game where Jayden Stratford (2), Olly Potter and Leo Jones were the scorers.
