Avonvale Utd U14s 13
FC Abbey Meads U14s 1
IT WAS unlucky 13 for FC Abbey Meads who were on the end of a severe drubbing from a rampant Avonvale U14s side.
Barely two minutes had been played before Freddie Collins converted an Aaron Burcham cross to take the lead.
Collins soon added a second after great skill from Burcham with another assist. By the 15-minute mark, Collins had completed his hat-trick.
It was rapidly becoming a tough day for Abbey Meads and Collins soon added three more to take his tally to six with the visitors badly needing a half-time breather.
Orlando Harding hit a belter of a shot from distance to make it 7-0 early in the second half.
Two powerful Burcham strikes took the score to 9-0, one direct from a corner.
To their credit a determined Abbey Meads pulled a goal back from the penalty spot but it was only a brief respite.
Adam Harding, Burcham and Orlando Harding moved the score on to 12-1 – and there was still 10 minutes remaining.
Adam Harding completed the scoring with a well-struck effort to top off a commanding win which secures their top-of-the-table position as the season heads towards the Christmas break.
