The Beeches 12

Lechlade FC 87 0

THE BEECHES ran out 12-0 winners over Lechlade due in large part to the visitors having their 'keeper sent off when they were just 3-0 down in the second half.

But from the moment forward Nathan Brunton was fouled in the Lechlade box and converted his own penalty, The Beeches were dominant.

Winger Joe Stratford soon doubled the lead with a fantastic run from inside his own half leaving the Lechlade defence stationary on the halfway line before chipping the onrushing keeper from 30 yards.

After the break The Beeches got their third goal via Scott Smith.

The Lechlade keeper was then sent off for deliberate handball out of the box, Will Power converted the resulting free kick by curling the ball around the wall into the bottom corner.

The Beeches maintained their tempo against 10-man Lechlade and there were a lot more goals to come.

Stratford scored a further three in the second half bringing his tally in the match to four.

Smith completed his hat-trick in style with a chip over the replacement keeper.

Forward Brunton added his second after finding space in the box and nestling the ball home.

Power scored his second goal of the fixture and the final strike came from forward Alex King after he wriggled his way into the box, dummied to make the keeper commit and then rolled the ball into an empty net.
