Running Somewhere Else

Charity donation

OVER the past year the members of Running Somewhere Else have been raising money for a well-deserving charity, 'Winston's Wish'.

They are the leading childhood bereavement charity in the UK and offer practical support to bereaved children and their families.

The runners have held various social events throughout the year to raise this money – a race night, quiz night, raffles etc, but the main event was the Fairford 10k in June.

The race was a huge success and this was totally down to all the RSE members pulling together to make it possible. They have raised a total of £1,400, which was handed over to Liz Tomala from Winston's Wish on November 7.

Marathon runners

A SPECIAL mention this week to the Running Somewhere Else marathon runners whether they competed in one marathon or multiple marathons and ultras.

They have travelled the globe to compete in these events – from Tokyo, Chicago, Berlin, Athens, Dublin and some a little closer to home like London, Manchester, Brighton, Gloucester, York and Abingdon.

We applaud them for their commitment to training and often months of hard work and dedication.

Massive congratulations to each and every one of you.
