Lydiard Blue U18s 0

VALE U18s were in their comfort zone throughout to beat Lydiard 9-0.

Owen Johnson saw a header cleared off the line and Marcus Toop had a good long-range effort saved before George Dandridge slotted home the opener from close range.

Theo Martin then twice beat the visiting keeper to make it 3-0. Johnson was again denied before making it 4-0.

After the break Adam Gale tucked the ball home after being sent through by Martin and Josh Eddolls scored with a 25-yard strike into the corner.

Dandridge tapped in for the seventh goal and after Laurence Cooper had hit the post, Noah Dougherty calmly made it eight.

The final goal was scored by Cooper at the far post from a cross by Johnson.

The Vale defence were rarely troubled.

MoM: George Dandridge.

Tetbury Town U14s 0

FROM the outset Vale were positive, with Aaron Burcham, Ben Cook and Orlando Harding firing early shots at the Tetbury goal.

Tetbury had some talented strikers and Vale's Danny Hedge and Theo Harper were called upon to close down a couple of Tetbury counter attacks.

Excellent interplay between Freddie Collings and Orlando Harding helped set up Orlando to find the net with a fierce shot.

Dom Randall, back after an enforced absence this season, showed bags of his usual enthusiasm and, teaming up with Lewis Bradley, put further pressure on Tetbury. A few minutes later, Collings converted a peach of a cross from Ben Cook.

Cook once again used his pace to find space down the wing and put in another well-struck cross which Adam Harding finished to make it 3-0.

Tetbury came out after half-time with a new-found determination and put Vale under some pressure.

But a foul in the area gave the hosts the chance to extend their lead from the penalty spot. Though Randall struck the spot kick cleanly, the Tetbury keeper tipped it over the bar and the score finished 3-0.

MoM: Lewis Bradley.

Cirencester Town U14s 1

ADAM HARDING nudged Avonvale U14s into an early lead but from that point they made hard work of the job in hand.

Cirencester are a classy side and their ability to tackle strongly and find space through counter attacks meant that the teams were evenly matched.

Vale improved as the game went on and their pressure eventually paid off as they earned a penalty, clinically finished by Harding, to give his side a deserved 2-0 lead.

Credit to Cirencester who continued to battle and secured a consolation goal from a perfectly-placed header three minutes from time.

MoM: Theo Harper.
