The Beeches FC 3

Siddington FC 2

THE Beeches continued their form with an end to end thriller at home to Siddington last weekend.

Striker Nathan Brunton was clean through on goal with a long ball from defender Dan Warriner, as Brunton was bearing down on goal he unselfishly played the ball to strike partner Matthew Walters who placed the ball into the empty net.

Siddington weren't too knocked back by The Beeches goal. When the ball landed at the feet of striker Dennis King he found space on the edge of the box and buried the ball into the bottom corner of The Beeches net to level the score.

After the break, Walters found the net with a fantastic curled shot into the top right corner from outside the box to restore The Beeches’s lead.

After some play in the middle of the park, the ball broke to Walters who completed his hat-trick in style with a cool, calm finish.

Siddington weren't finished and gave it one final push and when Warriner committed a foul in the penalty area he gifted Siddington a lifeline as Dennis King got his second goal of the game.

It was a nail biting final five minutes but The Beeches managed to hold on to their 3-2 lead and claimed all three points.
