GFA Minor Cup (N) 2nd Round
Ruardean Hill III 1
Hatherop 3
HATHEROP comfortably progressed to the next round of the county cup with a win at Ruardean Hill in Gloucester.
It would have been an even more emphatic victory but for a man-of-the-match display by the Ruardean 'keeper.
The breakthrough came early when Richie Crocker turned sharply and put his shot away.
Soon after it was the turn of Matt Townsend to get on the score sheet.
Ruardean then grabbed a goal back just before half-time but the second period was all one-way traffic for the visitors.
Hatherop should have scored on numerous occasions but they were repeatedly denied by the Ruardean 'keeper.
After another fine save, Adam Townsend was the first to react and completed the Hatherop scoring with their goal.
Hatherop MoM: Jake Page.
