Purton Reserves 3
Hook Norton Reserves 2
MANAGER Pete Temple saw his Purton side pick up their first win of the season at the Red House last Saturday, writes Alan Eastwood.
The reserve side was, just like the first team, guilty of missing chances but the result on the day was never in doubt.
Ryan Keech gave Purton a 17th-minute lead only for the visitors to level the score after 45 minutes when Jonathan Mair equalised.
Keech netted again and Nouman Farooq made it 3-1 after a superb move.
But ‘Hookey’ hit back again 19 minutes from time with a second goal by Mair.
On Saturday, October 22 they have a home derby game with Shrivenham Re serves at 3pm.
