Gloucestershire Northern Senior League

Division One

Bibury FC 2

Leonard Stanley 0

A RARE Saturday afternoon at Bibury where there was no wind saw the hosts pick up a valuable three points.

Both teams have been struggling of late and it was Bibury who made all the early running as Ashley Rockley missed a great chance and Kanne Outram saw a goalbound shot deflected over.

Craig Donnan hit the post but minutes later Bibury finally took the lead when a great ball from Paul Horton found Rockley, who slotted past the keeper for his first of the season.

Stanley went very close to levelling but a header was cleared off the line.

Bibury were creating plenty of chances and Rockley saw a great free kick hit the bar.

The visitors’ task then became harder as they had a player sent off for a crude tackle on Rockley.

Stanley started the second half strongly and thought they had lev- elled the scores but the goal was disallowed for offside.

The second goal came as Rockley squared for Scott Reynolds to score and shortly before the end, Stanley had another player sent off.
