WORLD-FAMOUS New Zealand Allblacks rugby players Jeremy Thrush and Tom Marshall attended the second cluster of rugby matches by young people to aid disadvantaged youngsters throughout Wiltshire.

Around 432 young people from Wiltshire have taken up the gauntlet of playing Floodlit rugby matches to raise money for the disadvantaged and disabled.

Matches from teams through the county will be staged until late November.

Gloucester lock Thrush has been capped 11 times, having started his career with New Zealand side Hutt Valley High School. A former captain of the Hurricans he scored nine times in 95 appearances, and in 2004 joined Gavin Henson as a Young Player of the Year.

Marshall capped the Allblacks U20s teams and was a member of the World Cup Squad in 2010. He played in New Zealand for Tasman Makos on 43 occasions and in Super Rugby was in the Crusaders team 42 occasions and Chiefs 29.
