THE Captain’s Charity Day competition at Oaksey Park Golf Club was this year played to benefit Paternoster House in Cirencester.
Despite inclement conditions with a steady drizzle, all 15 teams gallantly turned out for a Texas Scramble in the morning which was won by the Oaksey Ballers.
An auction and raffle draw followed the competition and the princely sum of more than £2,000 was raised.
A big thank you to all participants and sponsors.
Oaksey seniors played out a 2-2 draw with Cricklade in their last match of the year.
Their season thus ended with a symmetrical record of won four, drew four and lost four.
