The Beeches 6
THE BEECHES continued their impressive form with an away win against South Cerney.
Early in the game The Beeches dominated possession and created a handful of opportunities but to the frustration of the forwards they couldn't squeeze the ball home.
That was until winger Joe Stratford used his trademark pace to create a chance and slid the ball into the bottom corner to put the Oranges ahead.
Matthew Walters doubled the Beeches lead with a superb header.
Stratford soon added his second of the game; after a run from the halfway line, he tricked his way past two defenders and then rifled the ball into the top corner.
Striker Walters found the net again just before the break to make the half-time score 0-4.
After the interval The Beeches continued to apply pressure and Walters completed his much deserved hat-trick with another header.
Midfielder Scott Smith then got his name on the score sheet when, after playing a series of one-twos, he curled a left-footed shot from outside the box to find the top left corner.
