Cirencester Town U16s 3

Stratton Youth U16s 2

STRATTON U16s lost out to derby rivals Cirencester Town in a very tight encounter.

The first half started with Ciren Town the stronger side, scoring an early goal on six minutes.

Stratton soon found their way in the game thanks to good movement and passing and created chances. They went in at half-time disappointed it was still 1-0.

The second half continued in the same vein, when a good through ball to Kieran Walton saw him round the goalie and slot home to draw level.

Ciren rallied with two goals in three minutes to go 3-1 up.

Stratton steadied the ship and continued to create chances as the game ebbed and flowed. They were rewarded with a second goal from Jacob Simmonds on 65 minutes.

Both sides pushed for more goals but Ciren just edged it 3-2.

Stratton's MoM: Karl White.

Old Town U15s 6

THIS wasn't a typical North Wilts Youth game in which respect for officials and each other is encouraged – and Old Town could do with a visit from the respect monitor.

There is no doubt the Swindon side deserved to win, but they should do so in the correct manner.

Sean Ponting scored for Stratton and Matthew Harrison was MoM.

Avebury U14s 3

THE game was evenly matched from the start. Josh Littler-Jennings put the home side 1-0 up with a well-placed shot, but Avebury scored within two minutes to level.

Barney Kimber then made it 2-1 but the visitors again responded with a quick equaliser.

Littler-Jennings scored his second goal just before half time to make it 3-2.

Harvey McCullie moved the score on to 4-2 only for Avebury to score their third goal.

The home side then took control and scored two late strikes from MoM Harvey Biggs and Kimber.

The mini section once again had only a few games. The U11s Blue team were at Lydiard and the U7s were home to Stratton Jnrs.

Archie Miller had a good game and was MoM, while the U8s were also at home to Highworth. Finley Stratford, Arthur Quli and Sam Potter were on the scoresheet.
