JASON DOYLE is on top of the world – with two rounds of the world title race to go.

The Swindon skipper pulled off a third successive Grand Prix win in Stockholm's Friends Arena – the first man to do it since his idol Jason Crump a decade ago.

He's now five points clear of Greg Hancock in the race for the world championship with just rounds at Torun, Poland and Melbourne to come.

Doyle won the final ahead of fellow Aussie Chris Holder and home favourite Freddie Lindgren to top the podium.

He said: "I just can't believe it, I keep saying anything can happen in speedway.

"There's still a long way to go, lots of points to be raced for and I will keep trying to get the points.

"To match what my sporting idol JC did by winning three in a row is something I'm really proud of. I hope he was watching, it means so much."
