President’s Day

GORDON ROBBINS’ Presidents’ Day proved a huge success at Cirencester Golf Club with a large field of entries, many from neighbouring clubs.

September Medal

PETE SHEPHERD shot a sizzling net 63 to win the September Medal by two shots.

The course appeared to be there for the taking with perfect conditions and virtually no wind, but the greens proved much quicker than of late which fooled many members and resulted in just five twos being recorded.

Toby Harris finished second overall thanks to his best gross score of the day of 70 for his net 65.

Division One: 1, Toby Harris, Toby (70-05 = 65); 2, Mark Clayton (79-10 = 69); 3, Ali Carter (74-05 = 69); 4, James Harding (79-09 = 70).

Division Two: 1, Pete Shepherd (74-11 = 63); 2, Paul Simmonds (77-11 = 66); 3, Robert Simmonds (80-13 = 67); 4, Clive Montgomery (79-12 = 67).

Division Three: 1, Johan Pelser (87-21 = 66); 2, John Archer (82-16 = 66); 3, Mike Brown (87-19 = 68); 4, Richard Hopegood (88-19 = 69).

Twos were recorded by: Andy Buchan (2nd); Clive Montgomery (9th); Dean Wood (11th); Toby Harris (18th) and Gary Whiteman (18th).

September Midweek Medal

GAVIN ALLEN won the September Midweek Medal with a fine net score of 64. The best gross score came from third-placed Rob Worthington with his 73 for a net 65.

RESULTS: 1, Gavin Allen (76-12 = 64); 2, Peter Smith (80-16 = 64); 3, Robin Worthington (73-08 = 65).

Twos were posted at the second hole by both John Appleby and Mark Foster.
