OAKSEY PARK GOLF CLUB
Malmesbury Festival Golf Cup
KEITH HARRISON was the winner of the inaugural Malmesbury Festival Golf Cup at Oaksey Park Golf Club.
The trophy was presented to the club by Ray Sanderson, former mayor of Malmesbury, and it was contested at the Olympic Pro-Am charity competition held last month.
This international competition featured competitors at six golf clubs in the UK, two in Germany and one in South Africa. Henderson's winning score was 11 under par.
The September Medal saw club captain Dean Hammersley romp to victory, closely followed by Rich Watkins.
Oaksey seniors had mixed results in their two recent matches, recording a 3-3 draw at Minchinhampton Old Course before going down 1½-4½ at home to Westonbirt. Hopefully the team will finish the season on a high note when they visit Cricklade later this month.
