The Beeches 2
Intel 0
THE BEECHES continued their superb form by beating reigning league champions Intel FC 2-0 at home on Saturday.
In the early stages both teams came close to breaking the deadlock in an end-to-end game and the 'keepers were regularly called upon to make saves.
Beeches went in front when attacking midfielder Scott Smith generously rolled a pass into the path of makeshift striker Will Power, whose deflected shot inside the box found the back of the Intel net.
The second goal came 10 minutes from time. Power chipped the ball over Intel's back line in a bid to release fellow forward Alex King.
In attempting to intercept and play the ball back to his 'keeper, an Intel defender inadvertently passed the ball into his own net.
