ANNE DUNHAM took her Rio Paralympic medal tally to three on Friday with a second individual silver medal aboard her striking mount LJT Lucas Normark in the para dressage events.

Dunham, who will be 68 later this month, secured her 10th career Paralympic medal – over five different games – by winning the individual freestyle to music silver medal behind GB team-mate compatriot Sophie Christiansen.

“I’m absolutely chuffed, flying high,'' said Dunham, who is based at Worton in Wiltshire and trains at Pammy Hutton's Talland School of Equitation near Cirencester.

Hutton revealed on Points West that she received an unintentionally amusing message on her phone from Anne in Rio.

"It said 'Thank you for all your hell' – I think she meant help!" said Hutton. Christiansen's winning score of 79.700 per cent was 3.65 per cent better than Dunham's who finished on 76.050 with Brazil’s Sergio Oliva taking the bronze on 75.150.

Dunham had previously finished runner-up to Christiansen in the Individual Championship while she was also part of the gold-medal winning team.

It has been a Paralympic Games to remember for the British para-equestrian dressage team, who have won seven gold medals within their total medal haul of 11.
