STEVE YATES enjoyed another fine result at the Cotswold Classic 113 Middle Distance Race despite the effects of his full Ironman outing three weeks earlier.
Daglingworth triathlete Yates finished 19th overall at Lake 32 of the Waterpark in a time of 4hr 30min.
The distances for the 113 Cotswold Classic are a 1.9km swimming loop of the lake followed by a 56-mile bike section with a half-marathon run to finish.
"I could definitely still feel the effects of my recent Ironman event at the same venue," said Yates.
"Strong winds effected the bike section but the rain held off all day.
"There were more than 700 entries and this remains one of the most popular half-ironman triathlon races in the UK calendar and is always brilliantly organised by Graeme Hardie and his 113 Events team, supported by DB Max timing.
"My thanks go again to Ride 24/7 of Cirencester and Cotswold Leisure for their continued support."
