PUCKRUP HALL'S B team raced to a 4-2 victory over their visitors from Cirencester against a backdrop of dark grey skies and rumbles of thunder.
Star of the show for the Tewkesbury side was their captain Phil Schiaffino who was on brilliant form.
Playing off a handicap of 11, he dropped only one shot to par in the first 14 holes.
The winning Cirencester pairings were Duncan Barnes & Andrew Miles and John Appleby & Pete Shepherd.
