Evo-Stik Southern Premier
Cirencester Town 1
Slough Town 3
SLOUGH TOWN showed why they are challenging at the top end of the Southern Premier with an impressive and efficient defeat of ailing Cirencester Town, who were failing to their fourth defeat in six games.
Ciren were behind in only the fourth minute when Gavin James strolled unmarked into the area and finished well past Harvey Rivers.
The hosts rallied at the end of the first half and then were given a lifeline by a precise Charlie Griffin goal in the 65th minute against the run of play.
But Cirencester could not build on their foothold and further goals from Putman (69) and James (80), both of them excellent throughout, gave a realistic look to the scoreline.
